Take a trip

Thanks Manny - this is a good idea - why not do it as a mini away day somewhere - on a boat or something?

Manny's task

Hello everyone,

okay I did not manage to do this the day after the away day last week but am taking forward my task of setting up a group/forum/committee for all us community workers here in Paddington.

I propose that we set up, yep you guessed it, a meeting! Even though we all know each other I don't think get the opportunity to inform others about the work we are doing so a quarterly gathering could really help in sharing good practice, getting advice & other perspectives, and offering support to each other.

So does a meeting, week of 11th - 15th June, where we can discuss how/if to take this forward sound reasonable?

please let me know by email manny@pdt.org.uk

enjoy the day!

Manny.

And ...

If anybody want to put up a photo - go to the picture icon on the bar above THE POST WINDOW - brouse and if your pictures are in MY PICTURES on windows you can just click and they'll upload. LETS SEE SOME PICTURES!

Alison

Ok I'm doing a post - have a good look at the screen when you go in and you should be able to post if you follow the stuff. Give me call and we can go through it - and well done alison for even tryinmg to get in. Whose next?

Today I'm seeing Louise Matlock from GOL. She was on the trip we did the other day and if she doesn't cancel - we'll have an interesting chat about GOL, WCC and Neighbourhoods.

Tonight we're launching a joint project with Vital - a sound installation with young peiople from the estates down the Harrow Road to Church St. Very exciting stuff - radio transmitters in shops and trees for all to hear as they go abouit daily business. For more information contact Susan O'Reily at PDT.

Message from the cleaner

Hi Team

Fantastic away day and full of things to do apart from things we do everyday. Thanks to everybody for being brilliant. I said I would try to do this which isn't quite what I imagined. However, the instructions on the email allow one or more or all of us to particpate in posting information from each of the neighbs.

The executive order is as follows: this could be a primitive test on an intranet that we could build if we use it. In order to get moving on this the rules are:

The first thing everyone does in the morning is come here to see if there are any new posts or comments on posts. (A post is a message or photograph). If there is a new post (like this one) either hit the comment icon below and leave a comment (one word or an essay is cool), or sign in and compose a post. Any questions call or email me. For the next two weeks everybody has to leave a comment or a post every day. Those who don't will be named and shamed internationally. Fear and loathing will not be an acceptable excuse Toby.
